Where we have been, and where we are going next.
Our own news, the workshops, seminars and conferences we run across India, and the outside science that shapes how we build. Every teaching event runs on live platforms and real targets rather than slides.
What is coming next.
No open workshop dates are listed at the moment. Tell us what your department needs and we will arrange one.

Advanced Diploma in AI and Computational Drug Discovery, with the School of Pharmacy and Research
A one year, full time programme offered jointly with the School of Pharmacy and Research at Dr. D. Y. Patil Dnyan Prasad University, Pune. The first batch has graduated. The programme page has the curriculum and the current admissions.
Memorandum of understanding with Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research
We signed a memorandum of understanding for joint research and training with the institute in Pimpri, Pune, at a seminar on AI assisted drug discovery. The institute is now the School of Pharmacy and Research at Dr. D. Y. Patil Dnyan Prasad University, our partner for the Advanced Diploma.
Out of the office,
into the laboratory.
We teach the platforms where they will be used. These are the workshops, seminars and conferences we have run or taken part in, most recent first.
ConferenceIndiBioCom 2026
SilicoScientia presented at IndiBioCom 2026, covering AI assisted target identification and the physics based evaluation that follows it.
WorkshopHands on workshop on SilicoX plore and OmicsX plore
A full day of hands on training in which participants ran both platforms themselves, from sequence analysis through to docking and pose evaluation.
SeminarGuest Talk 2026 on Artificial Intelligence in Drug Discovery
Dr. Md Ataul Islam spoke to the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry on how AI and physics based methods are redefining the future of medicine.

WorkshopTwo day hands on workshop on SilicoX plore
Two days of supervised bench work in which participants took their own targets through the platform, with one to one support at every station.
WorkshopThree day hands on workshop on AI assisted drug discovery
Our longest teaching programme to date, covering preparation, docking, machine learning prediction and simulation across three full days.
WorkshopDelivery and demonstration of SilicoX plore
Platform delivery to the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a live demonstration and training for the research group that would run it.
SeminarSeminar on computational drug discovery
A seminar for research scholars on how machine learning and physics based methods combine across a single discovery workflow.
SeminarAI in Drug Discovery and Development: Opportunities and Challenges
An invited talk on where computational methods genuinely shorten a discovery programme, and where they do not.
SeminarSeminar and platform demonstration
A seminar followed by a working demonstration of the platform for faculty and research students at the Symbiosis Institute of Technology.
SeminarSeminar and MoU signing
A seminar on AI assisted drug discovery, concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding for joint research and training.

Outside science
worth your time.
External commentary, not our news. These are articles by other people that bear on how we work, each with a line on why. It is a reading list and not a news feed, so it is chosen with care rather than updated daily. Every item opens the original source in a new tab.
Awarded for the discovery of non-linear effects and autocatalysis in asymmetric organic synthesis, work that explains how molecules with mirror image forms end up with one form dominating. Chirality decides whether a drug candidate works or harms, so this sits at the centre of medicinal chemistry.
NobelPrize.orgRecognised for decisive contributions to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and the detection of high energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin, using a cubic kilometre of Antarctic ice as the detector.
NobelPrize.orgKarl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel share the prize for discoveries concerning light gated ion channels and optogenetics, the technique that lets researchers switch defined neurons on and off with light.
NobelPrize.orgA review in Communications Biology covers protein binder design and conformational state prediction, the two problems that matter most once a static structure is no longer the bottleneck. Both feed directly into the preparation and docking stages of a discovery cascade.
Communications BiologyThe demonstration establishes trusted quantum computation on error corrected logical circuits rather than raw physical qubits, a prerequisite before quantum methods can be applied to molecular electronic structure problems at useful scale.
IBM NewsroomGoogle DeepMind marks five years since the AlphaFold paper, with the structure database now underpinning a large share of published structural biology. Predicted structures are the starting point for much of the pocket detection and docking work we run.
Google DeepMindNature reports on new embryo editing results and the scientific and ethical response to them, a reminder that the governance conversation is moving as fast as the method.
NatureNature examines the individualised neoantigen vaccine results and what they mean for personalised treatment, where the candidate itself is computed per patient from sequencing data.
NatureThe Innovative Genomics Institute keeps a running account of every CRISPR therapy in the clinic, including the first personalised in vivo base editing treatments. It is the clearest single view of how fast editing is reaching patients.

We run hands on workshops, seminars and training programmes at universities and research institutes across India. Participants work on live platforms and their own targets, not on slides.
